Starting in FWsim 3.1.1, the display of lines is disabled by default. But often, these lines are a visual distraction and the object looks better without. Sometimes these lines are an important part of the model (for example, they might represent power lines, ropes or cables). Many 3D models on the internet contain both solid objects and lines. You can enable or disable the display of lines. Here, you can change the settings for your show. If your 3D model does not work, please send it to us and we will help you out. You can use model files directly, or import ZIP archives containing your model. FWsim supports a wide variety of file formats.

To import a 3D model, click “Add” and then “Import”. (Please make sure you check the license yourself before using any models). If you work on commercial projects with FWsim, good news: 3D Warehouse has a very generous license, so you might be able to use those 3D models in your commercial projects free of charge. To find your own 3D models, we recommend you start your search at 3D warehouse. Here, you can import and arrange your 3D models. You can launch the world editor via the “Tools” menu in the FWsim main window.
